Governing Law

Our Privacy Policy is designed to meet the requirements of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (“FADP”) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). However, whether and to what extent these laws are applicable depends on the individual case in question.

With this data protection declaration, you as a user receive information about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of your data by Arco IT and integrated data processors (providers).

Collection of General Information

With each access to our offer, information is automatically collected by us or the provider. This information, also known as server log files, is of a general nature and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you.

These include: name of the displayed website, file, date, amount of data, web browser and web browser version, operating system, the domain name of your Internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (the page from which you accessed our offer) and the stored IP address.

Without this data, it would not be technically possible to deliver and display the contents of the website. In this respect, the collection of data is absolutely necessary. In addition, we use anonymous information for statistical purposes. They help us to optimize the offering and the technology. You can see this purpose on Google Analytics.

Handling Personal Data

Definition: Personal data is any information that clearly identifies a person. This is data that can be traced back to a person. This personal data includes the first name and name, telephone number and e-mail address. Personal data also applies to information on websites that have been accessed. This data will only be collected and used if you confirm this by consent, for example in the case of e-mail correspondence or on a website.

What data do we collect from you and from whom do we receive this data?

First and foremost, we process personal data that you provide to us, or that we collect when operating our website. We may also receive personal data about you from third parties. These may be from the following categories:

Under what conditions do we process your data?

We process your data in good faith and according to the purposes set out in this privacy policy. We pay attention to transparent and proportionate processing.

If we are exceptionally unable to comply with these principles, data processing can still be lawful because there is justification. In particular, the justification is:

  • Your consent;
  • The execution of a contract or pre-contractual measures;
  • Our legitimate interests, unless your interests prevail.
How can you revoke your consent?
If you have given us consent to process your personal data from specific purposes, we will process your data within the scope of this consent unless we have other justification.
You can revoke your consent at any time by sending an e-mail to the address given in the imprint. The processing of data that has already taken place remains unaffected by these regulations.

In which cases may we disclose your data to third parties?

If you make use of such an offer, we may transmit your personal data to the corresponding partner or cooperation company (e.g. name, function, communication, etc.) whose offer you wish to take advantage of. These partners and cooperation companies are independently responsible for the personal data received. After the data has been transmitted, the data protection regulations of the respective partner apply.
